Hey Trader,
My Trading Week Review: A Balanced Perspective
I hope this message finds you well.
I wanted to share a brief review of my trading week (ending June 7th) with you, providing some insights that might resonate with your own experiences and strategies.
This past week, my trading journey brought a mixed bag of individual outcomes.
Out of all the trades I placed, two-thirds were either profitable or stopped out at breakeven.
This consistency is encouraging, as it highlights the importance of having a solid trading plan and sticking to it.
Interestingly, only one trade managed to hit all the desired profit-taking targets.
While this may seem like a modest achievement, it's a testament to the precision and patience required in conquering the stages of becoming a successful trader.
Each trade has its own dynamics, and seeing one fulfill all profit targets underscores the value of carefully analyzing market conditions and executing the plan with discipline.
On the other side of the coin, a third of my trades were stopped out. These trades didn't play out as anticipated, which is a normal part of the trading process.
What’s crucial is that these stops were part of my risk management strategy, ensuring that losses were controlled and didn’t impact the overall performance significantly.
The net result for the week was a profit of $563 per contract traded within each position. This outcome is a reminder that trading is a marathon, not a sprint.
Now you might not think $563 is a lot of money but when you start to multiply it by a heavily leveraged position size ... then start adding zeros to it, it grows very quickly!
Even with some trades not going in my favor, and each profitable trade also displaying their share of complexities - an overall disciplined approach allowed for a profitable week.
As traders, we understand that every week will bring its own set of challenges and victories because I know the 5 fundamental and undeniable truths about trading.
The key is to stay committed to our strategies, continually learn from each experience, and maintain a balanced perspective. Wishing you success and insightful trading ahead!
Happy Trading,
